Arapaho Prodigy's Pheromone

Pheromone (Pheri) is listed for a bargain price. She has EPDs in the near 1% in fiber weight and staple length fiber traits. Pheri puts ample staple length on all her babies if that is what you are looking for. She is presently out of our breeding program as a dam because we have multiple females out of Pheri that are now much finer. That does not mean she can do the same thing for your ranch.

These two traits she expresses on her cria are extremely important when choosing a breeding female. You won't find a better price for this wonderful producing dam. Pheri is our easiest breeder, she has uneventful births, she is large, well conformed, produces ample milk and is a great mother. We would also consider Pheromone in a package sale. The value of Pheremone is her ability to pass along fiber weight and staple length to her crias. Her genetics for fiber fineness is average but she puts lots of fiber on her crias. She is a great starter dam in any breeding program to pass along fiber weight which really means fiber length plus density.

Pheromone's second offspring Contender's Prodigy was evaluated by Dale Davis and characterized his fleece as the best on the ranch. This 2012 offspring took fourth place at I.A.O. in both halter and walking fleece. He took 2nd place in halter at the California Classic. Pheromone with the right breeding for fineness can produce exceptional offspring. She is young, with many years of production. This dam is gentle, easy to handle and has ideal conformation & temperament.

The progeny from Pheri are consistently well above her quality, but her EPDs simply don't fit into our trait enhancement at this time. If you would like her bred to Bogart, we will give you a screaming deal. Bogarts AFD is 22 microns at age 16. We base our foundation females on EPDs values that are all better than the national norms and Pheri does not meet that threshold, but as a proven dam she would add to any foundation herd. Pheri is out of the Caligula breeding line and her fiber represents that type of architecture.
